Abhaya Mudra (NO FEAR). "A" lot, bhaya means fear.
In Thai iconography, the forearm is bent at an angle more or less straight and
right hand, left hand or both hands are raised to shoulder height, the
palm facing forward and fingers extended upward.
The Buddha is
generally upright and when the left arm is for the palm
left is directed toward the body.
Thai variants:
1 - Abhaya mudra both hands soothing waves.
11 - Abhaya mudra the right hand. Calming the conflict in the relationship (. Eg when the quarrel between Koliya and Sakya)
111 - Abhaya mudra left hand giving the order to his image sandalwood not move to welcome him to his descent from heaven Tavatimsa.
